The Dominican Republic as a holiday destination, is one of the new and less developed areas of the Caribbean. The standard of hotels in the Dominican republic is very high, and they offer superb value all inclusive holidays, however you can still experiance the unique mixture of traditional Latin American charm with tropical weather and superb beaches lapped by crystal clear Caribbean waters.

But it is not just the country's beauty that makes it worth a visit, the Dominican Republic also has a reputation for having some of the friendliest people in the whole Caribbean who provide a warm welcome and genuine hospitality.

In addition there are some excellent tourist facilities, eclectic architecture and you're never too far away from a party. Add to this heady mix all-year-round sun and the clearest, most inviting seas you'll ever swim in and it's not hard imagine enjoying yourself in the beautiful Dominican Republic.

Dominican South coast holiday resorts.

Bayahibe is at the end of a small fishing village that is typically Dominican in style. The village itself has a small selection of shops and Bars, and can be reached quite easily.
All of the hotels offered are situated just outside the village, and boast their own stretch of private beach. This isn’t too lively a resort, although the nightlife is situated around the hotels. Its tranquil and relaxing nature as well as white sand and turquoise waters are some of the finest on the island.

Bavaro and Punta Cana:
These resorts are located on the East Coast and are also suited to those looking for a relaxing and peaceful holiday. The busiest parts of the resort will be found around one of the many hotel complexes and the most energetic thing you will probably do is try a water sport or two! That is, if you have the energy!

After so much relaxation coming home from you holiday in the Dominican Republic will be the last thing on your mind!

The beaches here are the best of the island, with almost pure white and and turquoise waters you may feel you have found your own piece of paradise! The high quality hotels and beaches have become popular with the European holiday maker recently.

Health: Precautions are advised against Hepatitis A, typhoid, and polio for those who plan to spend time outside the main tourist resort areas. There is a Malaria risk throughout the year.

Days Out-
Jeep safari's, White water rafting in the Dominican Alps-Which appear very similar to the Jurassic Park setting. Visit the most beautiful island in the Caribbean- Saona Island and let yourself feel as though you have found your ideal Paradise. Even if just for a day!

Getting around
Taxi's are reasonable and are available at all hotels, local buses and coaches are innexpensive although independent travel is not recommended.
All hotels and restaurant bills include the 10% service charge.

Visas are required before hand at around £8 (28days or more before departure) but can be purchased on arrival at a cost of around $10.

Health-Check with your GP for the latest information. We strongly recommend malaria tablets, and taking precautions. Stick to bottled water and use insect repellent and of course plenty of sun screen.

Dominican Republic. Well before you leave for the Dominican ensure you have started to eat plenty of Garlic. The Mossies hate it. If bitten get some rum from the bar and soak the bite area in the rum. DO NOT ITCH OR SCRATCH, if you do you will blister the bite. Great Destination for you to chill.
