They lie off the coast of Spain between France and the coast of northern Africa. Every year these holiday islands are a magnet for millions of holiday-makers.

Majorca is the largest island and the most commercial. Much of its countryside has given way to large expanses of hotels and apartment complexes, although there are still some parts of the island that remain untouched.

Here you will find the capital of the Balearic Islands, Palma.

Latest Majorca deals

There never has been and possibly never will be again, such a complete destination for a holiday as Majorca.

Whatever you enjoy most on your holiday to Majorca- whether exploration or pure relaxation - you'll find it in abundance on this blessed Mediterranean island. Majorca is effectively Spain in miniature.

The high-tech, ultra-modern resorts of Palma Nova and Magaluf are just a short distance from the timeless tranquillity of Palma Cathedral, and the sophisticated shopping of the capital. Travel through groves of almonds, olives and citrus fruits to the east, and you'll find the stylish marina and secluded coves of Cala d'Or.

Heading further north brings you to Alcudia, perhaps the Med's finest family resort, where shelving sands and bustling restaurants keep all ages amused.

Majorca has more then enough to satisfy even the most demanding holidaymaker, it's easy to see why thousands of happy holidaymakers return to the holiday island for a holiday in Majorca year after year.

Ibiza holiday guide For the full Ibiza guide Click here

Is known for its attraction to the party-goers but many tourists are also attracted to its white sands and clear blue waters.

Undoubtedly the greatest surprise package of the Balearic Islands, the appeal of the holiday island of Ibiza is far more diverse than you might think.

Of course, Ibiza Town can be outrageous, and the fashion parades of Friday and Saturday evenings always raise a few eyebrows.

It's true that San Antonio remains the nightlife capital of the Med, and its all-night hotspots in the 'West End' are not the location for the shy and retiring.

But Ibiza also offers so much more, the superb family resorts to the north and east, present a total contrast to their lively neighbours.

Even the coastline offers incredible variety, from the long sandy beaches of Playa d'en Bossa in the south to the rocky coves and crystal waters of Portinax in the north.

Travel into the heart of the island and traditional island-life is still very evident, apparently undisturbed by the arrival of tourism in Ibiza.

We've hand picked our favourite Ibiza resorts to allow all our visitors the chance to make the most of their holiday to Ibiza on this beautiful island.

Menorca Guide For the full Menorca guide Click here

Menorca is the most serene of the islands and the last to succumb to the tourist invasion. Much of the island has been protected by the government to stop the wild tourist development of the past.
Travel Guide to Menorca, Minorca

If you were asked to list all your main priorities in planning an unforgettable family holiday, in no time at all you'd find yourself describing a holiday in Menorca.

Think about a choice of over 100 Menorca beaches, from flat, shelving shorelines to secluded, quiet coves.

Think about restaurants in all the resorts of Menorca serving superb local delicacies, where kids are treated as VIP guests rather than little nuisances.

Think about fascinating day trips to the historic harbour side towns of Ciudadela and the island's capital Mahon.

There is a wide selection of places to eat in Minorca, ranging from local bars serving specialities to à la carte restaurants.

The local fish dishes are particularly tasty and good value, including squid, prawns and lobster. 'Tapas' are traditional bite sized snacks made with meat, olives, fried fish or vegetables and are usually served with drinks.

Not to be missed is the local speciality drink, Gin Xoriguer, which is distilled at Mahon harbour.

Even though Minorca is the second largest of the three principal Balearic Islands, Menorca remains more tranquil than its boisterous neighbours and continues to offer a superb get-away-from-it-all holiday just two hours flying from the UK.

No wonder Menorca has been our favourite family cheap holiday destination for the last few years.

Formentera was for many years, known as the forgotten Balearic. At just 30 square miles it is the smallest of the islands and the least developed.

Most people visit the island for the day as there has been a strict limit on the number of hotels that have been allowed to be constructed.

British and German visitors form the bulk of the holiday makers seeking the long, white beaches and clear, unspoilt waters.

All of the islands are so very different from each other that you can guarantee you will find what you want on one of them.
