Summer (May - September) averages 32°C. In high summer (June - August) temperatures may exceed 40°C. Spring and winter temperatures remain in the high twenties and thirties. Luxor Temple – You can’t miss this when in Luxor, massive statues and colonnades and detailed hieroglyphics are some of the attractions at this ancient historic temple. Worth going at night when it is lit up and local actors revive the drama of ancient Egypt. Cruise the Nile – A plethora of Nile cruises are on offer, the best way to go is on a traditional Dhow, sit back and be transported back in time. Passing many temples and monuments and villages that have hardly changed in thousands of years. Close your eyes and imagine Cleopatra. Valley Of The Kings – The west bank of the Nile is where you’ll find this world famous tourist destination, where the ancient Egyptians entombed their leaders.
