Travel Rant – Ryanair extra charges

Travel Rant: It seems that Ryanair just have to add those extra charges on flights – so that cheap Ryanair flight ends up not so cheap – For familys Ryanair is ridiculously expensive.

All those extras are added, right at the end of the booking process when you have added passenger names and details..

Why they have to hide extras like this is ridiculous, Ryanair are supposed to be transparent, they are almost acting like this travel con, we reported on earlier.

The slimy way they have done it is very deliberate they assume that by this stage – after you have added names ect – you will not want to cancel the transaction and will pay the extras.

Be warned: It could be the most expensive bottle of booze you’ll ever buy. Ryanair has confirmed passengers will be charged £30 if they cannot fit their duty free purchases into their single piece of hand luggage.

We have asked the OFT to look again at Ryanair and its extra charges, which are not as clear as the OFT would like to believe..

The OFT entered into discussions with Ryanair after the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) referred the airline to it last year.
