UK Holiday makers are being warned to never book a holiday until a valid passport is in their possession. After figures have shown that, holiday makers are failing to check the renewal dates on Passports.

The cost of an emergency replacement passport is £114, which would make an expensive holiday, plus the disruption in getting all the documents together to actually get one issued…

• As a rule of thumb, you must have on average at least 6 months before your passport expires, anything less and you may be refused boarding.
• This 6 months before expiry, must be after your return date.
