The whining managing director of Scottish agency McCarthy Travel Douglas McCarthy, which went into liquidation yesterday. Has decided the whole world was to blame for the collapse of his travel agency
His farcical list includes the government and the banks for the downfall of his business. cgi298bsr6
Douglas McCarthy said that Mccarthy travel – which had made an alleged £300,000 profit in the last year – closed after the Royal Bank of Scotland refused it an overdraft. hmmm
However the bottom line is Mccarthy travel failed because of poor management and business sense. It failed because of you Mr McCarthy. So stop blaming every one else you whiner, and think of the customers you have let down.
Definition of a whiner
1. To utter a plaintive, high-pitched, protracted sound, as in pain, fear, supplication, or complaint.
2. To complain or protest in a childish fashion.
3. To produce a sustained noise of relatively high pitch

“We came through a sticky patch up until June but still turned an £8k profit. We had managed to sort a few things and were optimistic about the future. It’s very sad.”
McCarthy said liquidators were being brought in this week. He praised staff and thanked fellow members of the Scottish travel industry for their support.
“I have the best team in the world. They’ve given me total support and I’m very disappointed for everyone concerned,” he said. “I have also received some kind messages from industry friends. I thank them for their support, too.”
