A spokeswoman said: “We take our lead from the FCO advice. People are reminded to be vigilant when on the island but UK nationals are not being targeted. Normal booking conditions apply and it is business as usual on the island.”
No one was injured by any of the three blasts, the first of which took place at beachfront bar and restaurant La Rigoletta in Palma Nova. Other explosions struck a shopping centre beneath the town square and a busy family restaurant.
A statement released from the Government of the Balearic Islands said the increased security measures already in place would remain and be “further increased”.
They also believed Eta did not attend to target people due to the low power of the devices used in the explosions.
“The Spanish Government Delegation on the Balearic Islands has reported that due to the low power of the devices we can deduce that the terrorists’ objective was not to cause direct damage to people through their actions,” said the statement.
“The different security forces continue to work to find the authors of these last attacks in Majorca.”
The group’s latest terror campaign in Majorca started last month when two Civil Guards were killed in a bomb attack which marked Eta’s 50th anniversary.
