Holidaymakers were recently advised by Abbey Credit Cards to opt for credit cards that would not set them back financially for using them abroad due to levies applied for withdrawals and foreign exchange.

According to research conducted by the bank, unnecessary foreign exchange fees will cost British holidaymakers £73 million this year.
