Eurostar Rail fares disrupted

With Eurostar rail fares becoming cheaper it is disappointing to note that delays will be caused this evening Eurostar is warning passengers of disruption on onward services in France due to industrial action by general workers starting tonight at 8pm.
It said although its own services should operate as normal, the 48-hour strike is likely to cause severe disruption for travellers with onward connections to other destinations across France.
Metro/Underground and bus services are also likely to be severely disrupted.
Meanwhile, Eurostar rail services between the UK and Brussels are expected to return to normal today, following a 24-hour strike by Belgian railway workers.
Brussels Midi station and the rest of the Belgian rail network was closed so there were no rail services operating between Lille and Brussels Midi station.
High-speed onward rail connections on Thalys or ICE, from Brussels to destinations in France, the Netherlands and Germany were also cancelled.
