PASSPORTS
All British and Irish passengers require a passport which must be valid for at least six months after your intended return to the UK

VISAS
British passport holders require a visa to visit Egypt. A Single Entry Tourist visa is required.

WHEN TO GO
Weather-wise, June to August is unbearable almost anywhere south of Cairo, especially around Luxor and Aswan, where daytime temperatures soar up to 40°C. Summer in Cairo is almost as hot, and the combination of heat, dust, pollution, noise and crush makes walking the city streets a real test of endurance.

On the other hand, a scorching sun might be exactly what’s wanted for a week or two of slow roasting on the beaches of southern Sinai, the Alexandrian coast or the Red Sea.

The Red Sea Coast is a region of eastern Egypt, following the shoreline of the Red Sea for 800 km (500 miles) from Suez in the north to the Sudanese border in the south.

EGYPT RED SEA RESORTS.

One of the main Red Sea holiday resorts is Hurghada, which plays host to much of the nightlife in the Red Sea area of Egypt. Hurghada is a place where you can let your hair down, relax and even enjoy some traditional belly dancing.

Sharm El Sheikh holidays are based, in a well-developed Red Sea holiday resort with luxurious accommodation, plenty of restaurants and good opportunities for shopping.

After a hard days sunbathing or scuba diving there is a good selection of bars, nightclubs and casinos to ensure your Red Sea holiday never runs out of steam.
