Thomas Cook holidays has launched its first edition Ancient Egypt and Beyond 2009 brochure, with three new resorts and five additional properties in Egypt.
Product manager Egypt Dee Joshi said the growth of the programme comes as the operator anticipates strong sales in the country as concerns over the economy lead customers to become increasingly value-conscious.
The programme also features Oman for the first time with three properties and Jordan with four properties.
He added: “As the leading tour operator to Egypt, Thomas Cook is excited to be able to offer a wider choice of accommodation and holiday options for 2009.
“A popular holiday destination year round, Egypt not only continues to offer high standards of accommodation catering for the families and couples market alike but it also offers great value for money which, in the current climate, will certainly see its popularity rise even further.”
Five-star properties are also featured in the programme with three nights bed and breakfast accommodation at the Le Meridien Pyramids in Cairo leading in at £509 including return flights from Heathrow.
