Holidaymakers traveling abroad should make sure they know who they are dealing with, to avoid losing money when shopping abroad, according to Cheaperholidays.
The UK trade association for payments, APACS, advised this week that those travelling abroad should find reputable companies to make purchases from. However if you use your credit card then the pressure is off you.
Mark Bergman, a spokesperson for APACS, said: “If the transaction is between £100 and £30,000 then it is beneficial to use a credit card because you have that extra protection that you do not have with a debit card.”
