Cosmos holidays will resume its Kenya holiday programme in the coming months, with chartered Monarch flights from Gatwick to Mombasa. Cosmos originally suspended its service in January following civil unrest arising from the Presidential elections last year.
The weekly service from Cosmos will resume on May 5th. Cosmos holidays will also continue its current safari program
Cosmos holidays will also continue its current safari in Nairobi throughout the summer, with flights from Heathrow.
Cosmos head of specialist products Sara Gelder said: “As a direct result of assurances we have received from the Kenyan government and advice from our agents and suppliers on the ground, we believe that Kenya is now firmly open for business.
“We have no doubt that with support from the Kenyan Tourist Board and hoteliers we will be able to offer the most competitive prices in the marketplace. We are confident the programme will very quickly achieve acceptable load factors.”
The Kenya crisis in question erupted in Kenya occurred after President Kibaki was declared the winner of the presidential election held on December 27, 2007.
