Carrier bags affecting UK holidays
Posted on April 15th, 2008 in Featured, Travel news plus deals
UK holidays and tourism are being affected by the curse of the carrier bag, they are in trees, along the hedgeline, in roads on the UK beaches and floating in the sea..Well this has got to stop.
Our proposal to the situation is rather simple, hit Tesco Asda Morrisons etc etc with huge fines unless they pay for the cleanup operation.
Why should the UK tourism industry suffer, because of this carrier bag menace creeping along our roadways and beaches.
It is estimated that millions of pounds of tourism revenue are lost each year, when tourists and uk holidaymakers refuse to stay around carrier bag rubbish strewn beaches and beauty spots.
So let these superstores who brag about taking £1 pound in seven from us, put something back in to the community and pay for a team to collect the carrier bags from our shore lines and hedgerows.
