Gran Canaria has a mild but pleasant temperature range, which is rarely too high and almost always constant.Because it is a mountainous island, where trade winds prevail all year round, it offers a wide variety of microclimates that vary from subtropical to continental. The resort of Costa Meloneras, with its upmarket shops and luxury hotels, provides an alternative for the discerning client seeking something new. The dunes of nearby Maspalomas are within walking distance and the water park and golf course are nearby. It is the largest resort on the island with pubs, clubs, restaurants and lots of shopping.
