The Unite union who represent BA cabin crew, seem determined to drag Britain back to the dark ages of Union activity by calling a strike over the some rather low priority issues… Such as travel perks for striking BA staff are they mad..
Speaking to the BBC, Woodley insisted the dispute would continue, and labelled BA boss Willie Walsh as being “petty and vindictive” for refusing to reinstate travel perks for striking staff.
The last sticking point, for the BA cabin crew union Unite, is the rather low priority of sorting out the disciplinary procedures on striking staff and the reinstatement of travel perks, which now remain the key points of contention in the dispute.
But who in their right mind is going to give striking Ba cabin crew the same perks, as those same BA cabin crew staff members, who saw common sense and came to work..
The initial disagreements over pay and conditions it would seem, has now thought to have been resolved.
Unite yawn, is also to appeal yesterday’s court ruling which branded the planned strikes by British Airways crew illegal.
