So to wet your appetite just a little, Turkey has over 10 hours of sunshine in May, peaking to 14 hours in July, coupled with virtually zero rainfall in the summer holiday season, a Turkey holiday will not disappoint where the weather is concerned.
Turkey entry requirements
British nationals require a visa to enter Turkey. A multiple entry visa can be purchased at the port of entry for ten pounds sterling per person – (Scottish currency is not accepted).
In Turkey’s Mediterranean coastal resorts around Antalya, such as Marmaris, Calis, Olu Deniz and Dalaman, daily temperatures average over 30°C from the end of May through to the beginning of October.

Turkey health
Travellers should not travel to Turkey without comprehensive medical insurance as private medical treatment is very expensive. E111 and the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) are not valid in Turkey.

Holiday resorts in Turkey
One thing you will want to take advantage of in Turkey especially on a hot day is the Dolumus (translation Squash) these are little minibuses that take you almost anywhere for next to nothing and the stop when you put your hand out, and drop you where you ask.
