Burma’s cyclone death toll soars.. Burma’s death toll has risen to more than 22,000 after a cyclone hit the country on Saturday, state media say.
Some 41,000 are also missing three days after Cyclone Nargis hit the country, causing a huge tidal surge to sweep inland, according to state radio.
The report came as aid agencies begin what they expect to be a major relief operation to help tens of thousands left without clean water and shelter.

Barwell Travel has gone bust and has cancelled holidays for customers booked to travel up until today after it failed to find a suitable buyer for the business.
In an updated statment on its website, the operator said it could not fulfil its obligations to these customers and has had to cancel their trips.
“The position regarding departures due on or after Wednesday 7 May 2008 remain uncertain,” it said.
The Surrey-based operator, which specialised in package holidays and flights to La Manga, suspended trading at the end of last week after 38 years.

Billericay Essex travel agent Mayflower Travel has ceased trading.
The agency, which specialised in tailormade holidays, had been trading since June 1997.
