Travel agents bullying customersTravel agent news: It seems that yet again High street travel agents have resorted to bullying customers using high pressure techniques, to sell you over priced holidays.

Travel agents live in fear of the direct-sell online channels, who they know offer far cheaper travel deals than they can. So they have to resort to bullying tactics to get you to book, you are not getting the best travel deal..

Our advice to you the customer: If you feel you are being forced in to something back away get up and leave.

Be aware that: some of the techniques include the silent treatment, as in they give you the price and then say nothing, increasing the pressure on you, generally he who speaks first loses.

Or the classic is the useless price match guarantee, The quote which must come from another travel agent within a few miles, and more importantly cannot be an online quote

Now i wonder why it cannot be an online quote?

Because they travel agents cannot match it, therefore the online deals are far cheaper and less hassle for you.. The Customer.

Direct sell agents are also performing better on summer 2010 bookings.
