Thailand tourism down the tubes

Thailand has been gripped by a paralysing political crisis since Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra was ousted from office in a military coup in September 2006.

With the latest unrest in Bangkok, Thailand seems determined to send its tourism industry nose diving down the tubes.. Which is bizarre considering that tourism is one of the country biggest industries..

Thai security forces have fired live rounds after moving in to seal a heavily defended encampment of demonstrators in the centre of Bangkok.
