Cheap holidays - Cheaperholidays.com Slimy Ryanair fall foul of OFT (office of fair trading) Foreign travel tips, consumer advice, travel offers - Welcome to Cheaperholidays travel tips and advice blog - See Foreign travel advice.

slimy ryanairThat slimy airline that loves the extra charges Ryanair, is embroiled in a row with the (OFT) Office of Fair Trading after imposing a 2% processing fee on credit card bookings made from today.

The budget carrier claimed the additional charge was being made to cover credit card payment costs.

This is in addition to a £6 administration fee which the airline says covers costs associated with its website.

This means that cheap flight is now, 2% ccc extra, PLUS the 6 £ per sector, per passenger?.

Plus:- Any of the below
Wheelchair fee (less than 0.003% of ryanair pax use wheelchair access)
Insurance Fee (why should we pay for their insurance ?)
Ryanair Service Fee (based on the Airport charges each airport use)
Ryanair Admin Fee (based on another BS ryanair make it up tax)

So, the advertised £ 18 per pax, per sector advertised on the ryanair front page, actually costs 50 £ per pax per sector once you have paid , therefore they are charging 280% excess fees on their advertised £ 18 ticket price….

I think the OFT should shut down the Leprechaun Fraudsters !

Ryanair said the 2% fee was being introduced to comply with the OFT’s recent ruling on card payments.

But the OFT disputed the Ryanair claim, saying: “We have not required any airline to introduce new payment charges, increase their credit card charges, or scrap any discounts they wish to offer.
