Holidays where are the best deals?

package dealsHolidays and travel advice: If your local airports are Manchester, Glasgow or Gatwick, then generally you will have all the cheap holidays & deals at your disposal.

However if like us mere mortals you live near a regional airport then the holidays at first appear to be more expensive..

But wait are they that much more expensive if at all, we had this conversation with a lady from South wales, who insisted that on paper the holiday deal from Gatwick was the cheaper option..

Indeed it was £20 cheaper than the deal from Cardiff, but the logistics of getting to Gatwick meant the holiday was actually £120 more expensive when you factor in, Petrol 360 miles, parking & bridge tolls £10. Not withstanding the time to get there and back..

So dont automatically assume that the deals from the larger airports are cheaper for you, take a moment to work out the overall cost in time and effort and you will find the cost differential is negligible.

For short haul holidays to Spain Portugal the Mediterranean, Canaries, then your local airport will have some of the best deals.

However if you want long haul then you have go to the Likes of Manchester London and Glasgow.
