Euro escape continues

The Great Euro escape continues, as holidaymakers are choosing to avoid holiday destinations that are not affected by the fall in value of the pound.

Family holiday destinations Greece and Spain are proving less popular than the Red sea in Egypt and Tunisia North africa.

Turkey and Egypt with the Red Sea resort of Sharm El Sheikh showing a 50% increase in searches for cheap holidays.

Holiday favourites like Alicante in Spain showed a three per cent reduction in searches and Corfu in Greece dropping in position by 16%.

Tunisia and North Africa saw a double digit rise in popularity search traffic, rising year-on-year by 47%.

“We think many British families have been holding on to see if the pound picked itself back up against the European currency.
