The UK daily expenses total for comparison is £48.82, based on a 3 course meal and a beer plus a few essentials.

With the falling Euro holiday costs have dropped in a number of locations, including mainland Spain, the Canaries and Balearic Islands.

One of the best value travel destinations for 2010 is Morocco, where the holiday spend, comes to just £29.42 – nearly £20 cheaper than the UK.

It comes as not suprise that Egypt and Turkey, continue to be great value for money mid haul destinations, while India remains the cheapest destination overall, with a beer costing just 68p.

    Think this information would be much more powerful with daily accommodation model rates listed as well. Eg the US is quite steep $100/night/ room, Spain has more than double its cash price over the last 5 years to c€70/ night/ room (may have dropped back a bit with the recession) etc etc.
